Erris Homes have teamed up with another Yorkshire-based company at our Calder Mews development in Greetland, where Interiors by Jeanette Holmes have been applying a creative touch to our stunning executive detached homes on Phase II.

Jeanette leads a truly unique, personal interior design service which is totally ‘hands-on,’ right from the initial consultation through to the finished project. Erris Homes commissioned Jeanette and her team to create a design scheme for our four-bedroom Harewood, an exceptionally spacious property planned over three storeys.

Jeanette  personally oversees every stage of the project, from the production of mood boards and furniture layout to lighting plans and finishing touches. At Calder Mews, she curated a scheme which complemented our investment in a premium specification.

Jeanette said: “I needed to come up with something stylish, elegant and quite contemporary to suit a growing family in a semi-rural location like Calder Mews. When designing interiors, I’m a big believer that not every item and feature has to cost the Earth – with smart choices, you can achieve a look and feel with items that reduce your overall spend. However, the Harewood is from Erris Homes’ Excellence Collection which has a wide range of premium features, fittings and appliances as standard, so we needed to deliver a design scheme which reflected this. With that in mind, there were certain choices that needed the extra touch of luxury.”

Jeanette  collaborated closely with the Erris Homes construction team to harmonise her choices with the built-in features.

“I worked with the fitted wardrobe suppliers, tiling suppliers and kitchen suppliers to make sure that the elements complemented each other to achieve a coherent combination. We decided that the colour palette should be very neutral, but not in the beige spectrum – it was more taupe tones and deep accent colours throughout. We also mixed lots of versatile textured fabrics with practical furniture choices that would suit such a stunning house.”

Many of the items in the Harewood’s interiors are hand-made by Jeanette and her team. They have carefully crafted bespoke upholstery, soft furnishings and headboards to enhance the high-end aesthetic.

Every room was carefully considered, from the flow of the layout to the thoughtfully selected finishes, creating a home that felt both aspirational and inviting. The styling struck just the right balance between aesthetics and practical family living.

Jeanette’s vision clearly struck a chord with prospective buyers. The Harewood was sold by one of the first couples to view it – a testament to the quality of Erris Homes’ build and the power of great interior design.

Jeanette has now been invited to create the interiors for another home on Phase II, where we’re building a wide range of 4- and 5-bedroom homes alongside a selection of 3- and 4-bedroom homes on Phase I.

Most homes on Phase II currently in the early stages of construction. Homebuyers who reserve soon will  have the opportunity to provide input on design of their home, with ample scope to customise according to their tastes and requirements before the build stage advances.
