We’ve seen this trend creeping up on us for a while, but plush fabrics and decadent twentieth-century furniture are set to be a must-have this spring.
A direct contrast to minimalist trends, the art-deco look is inspired by the outrageous opulence and glamour of the roaring twenties. You don’t have to go all the way with this trend to add a touch of lavishness to your home – pair bold patterns with a rich-coloured scalloped chair or indulge in a gold and marble side table for an effortless yet sophisticated look.

In light of Pantone’s appraisal of Living Coral, pink and orange hues are set to reign supreme throughout the sunny seasons this year. This trend takes inspiration from earthy-coloured clay materials and puts particular emphasis on warmer shades to create a calming and welcoming environment. Sun-drenched tones such as terracotta, umber and a deep saffron pair perfectly with eclectic global-inspired prints, rustic ceramic pottery and luxurious soft furnishings with tassels and pom-poms.

Twenties décor isn’t the only thing making a comeback this season – minimalist line drawings reminiscent of Picasso and Matisse are finding themselves on everything from wall hangings to decorative plates.
